Alliance Christian Academy (ACA) is located at 5809 Portsmouth Boulevard in Portsmouth, Virginia. The school is ministry of the Portsmouth Christian and Missionary Alliance Church which is a Protestant, evangelical, missions-oriented organization. The school was founded in 1971 as a junior and senior high school with 20 students and has grown steadily and now includes a preschool classes, kindergarten and elementary grades. The school is equipped with 20 classrooms, a science laboratory, an art room, a music room, computer labs, a library, a gymnasium which can seat 1000 people, 9 acres of athletic fields, and a full-service cafeteria.
ACA is fully accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ACSI is globally recognized as a leader in Christian education, and is authorized by the Commonwealth of Virginia to accredit Christian schools. ACA is also a member of HRCSA (Hampton Roads Christian School Association) and the VCPE (Virginia Council for Private Education)
ACA is comprised of an Elementary (K3-5th), Middle School (6th-8th), and High School (9th-12th). |
